The inside of the body is electrolytically polished, such that it is virtually impossible for contamination to adhere to it, hence maximum reflection and easy maintenance. Moreover, reflection provides for UV-C efficiency in excess of 35%. The Philips UV-C lamp offers a service life of not less than 9,000 hours.
